Machine polishing is the use of a motorised polishing machine, pad and compound to refine the surface of a vehicle's clear coat. It removes mild defects and significantly improves gloss compared to hand polishing.
Is machine polishing safe on all paint types?
When performed correctly with the right machine speed, compound and pad combination, machine polishing is safe on virtually all paint types — including single-stage, water-based and even delicate finishes. It is not suitable for raw carbon fibre or bare metal surfaces.
